It was a cold dreary morning at Peach Tree Hill. Brian had arranged an outing with Xavier, Waldy, and myself, we were on the search for morels. We spent the first 45 minutes hitting the trees around the edge, but I got a bit impatient and started going deeper and deeper into the orchard. I soon realized I was completely lost, soaking wet, and covered in thorns. I stumbled out of the orchard into someone’s lawn and had to call Brian to come pick me up. He appreciated that I was so focused on the morals, that I forgot about everything else.
Brian was always very generous with his knowledge and experience. He was truly an example for us all. He will be deeply missed.
